Each year, CENTRO hosts several in person, hybrid, and virtual events ranging from Library & Archives Lunch Hours, academic symposiums, celebrations and more! Our events are the perfect place to expand your network, deepen your knowledge, interrogate the field of Puerto Rican studies, and explore many of CENTRO’s free resources! Plus, our in person events often offer free food! Bring yourself and your friends, we’d love to have you!
CENTRO'S Data Hub generates robust research and analysis using publicly available data, like the U.S. Census Bureau and other federal agencies to provide information to scholars, policy makers and the general public. Our interactive reports use data visualization tools and web maps to illustrate major changes within the Puerto Rican population. In recent years, the data hub has extended research priorities to Puerto Rico's ongoing economic crisis and post-disaster recovery. Our Hub offers a unique opportunity to connect and collaborate with outside researchers on investigations, publications, and events.
Our Zines are digital publications designed to make Puerto Rican history easy to share. Print them from anywhere, pass them out to friends, or even fold them into paper airplanes to spread the word.
Whether you’re just starting out or diving deep into research, CENTRO is here to help you grow. We offer students hands-on experience through internships in research, media, and archiving, alongside specialized fellowships for graduate students. It’s a great chance to work alongside experts, build your skills, and help preserve the stories of our community. Come find your place with us!
