My practice centers on visual documentation of Puerto Rican diaspora identity through community engagement and research. As a painter, digital illustrator, and muralist, I employ illustrative aesthetics and culturally inspired color palettes to convey experiences through storytelling. My methodology of photographing, researching, and connecting directly with Puerto Rican communities throughout my travels ensures visual narratives emerge authentically. This positions my work as cultural preservation and advocacy, functioning as both mirror and memory for populations whose stories often face institutional erasure. My art provides representation to maintain connections to heritage while navigating contemporary American life.
