As a plus-size woman of color who was rarely photographed growing up, my documentary photography work explores the narratives of the unseen. Through my lens, I contribute to an evolving archive by photographing plus-size and people of color, demonstrating their resilience in living, working and playing. I often infuse my Star Wars fandom into my work, capturing plus-size fans, who are redrawing the boundaries of inclusion through costume play. I aspire to encourage diverse voices to contribute to visual storytelling, empowering those who feel unseen to document their lives through imagery.
