The Puerto Rican Radical Tradition – Exploring the CENTRO Spring and Summer 2026 Journals

From the Nationalist Party to UPR Student Movements to the Young Lords, and more: this is only the surface of the rich legacy of radical resistance that Puerto Rico possess. CENTRO’s latest journals (Spring & Summer 2027) explore a complex political space defined by movements resisting racial/colonial capitalism through the unique lens of Puerto Rican experiences. Rooted in a legacy of abolitionism, socialism, and revolutionary nationalism, this issue highlights how the tradition continues to evolve through contemporary radical feminist, anti-racist, and queer movements.
