Library & Archives Lunch Hour: The Roger Cabán Photographic Collection

For decades, photography has allowed the Puerto Rican community to reflect our humanity, culture, struggles, dreams, and more on our terms. Co-founded over fifty years ago by photographer & social worker Roger Cabán, En Foco aimed to support this work and preserve the legacy of diasporic lens-based artists. Today, Roger Cabán’s personal photographic collection has finally been processed and we are excited to give you a sneak peek into materials documenting his professional and personal life. Take a break from work, grab your lunch, and join CENTRO Archivist Oscar Zamora in exploring this essential collection documenting life in New York City and Puerto Rico from 1960’s to the 2010’s.
