Have you ever felt homesick? Join Puerto Rico-born, Chicago-based artist Brenda Torres-Figueroa for a performance inspired by diaspora, survival, and the legacies of Afro-Puerto Rican women. Registration for this free event is encouraged.
This performance is offered in connection with the exhibition Diasporic Collage: Puerto Rico and the Survival of a People, which is on view from August 31, 2024–February 2, 2025. This exhibition explores Puerto Rican identities in the archipelago and its diasporas through art.
