My recent art work incorporates diverse media, to explore a plethora of themes related to the nature of liminality and mobility. Combining figurative imagery and personal narratives of being between territories, my work explores the relationship between identity and the condition of movement that contributes to transnational discourses.
The objects, some small and fragile, are installed in various configurations, continuing with explorations between being and belonging; and the feelings of inauthenticity derived from such relationships with the inhabited space. The work encapsulates the hybrid identities of a condition defined by imbrication and borderlessness. Incorporating images of fragmented and dislocated figures, I propose this type of research and conversations.
