Entrepreneurial artist highly skilled in creating unique mixed media pieces and paintings utilizing a variety of innovative methods. Demonstrated in social media to promote artistic services. My work is often inspired by patterns I identify in people's emotions, within popular media, and daily interactions I experience. My work is best developed in the comfort of my home studio. When inspiration strikes, I act fast to get the images in my head down to a canvas. Usually I am working on multiple pieces at a time, some receiving more attention than others depending on my own attachments to a piece. To those who discover my work, I want them to recognize themselves within my art and leave with a sense of connection to me and my inspirations.

As a Jersey born artist raised in Lower East Side New York, Miles Cartagena’s most significant inspirations are based on his childhood and Nuyorican heritage. Inspired by everyday life to source new ideas and materials to create pieces and further develop his artistry. Whether it be on stretched canvas, sketching, videography, screen printing, or digital design, Cartagena’s techniques prove to be very resourceful. Using one’s own vision to see artistic possibilities in every item that is used or repurposed is a skill that is taken from his own life experiences.
