I work in figurative painting. My creative process is nourished by a personal archive of images capturing everyday moments of intimacy: screenshots from my phone, photos of mangroves in Switzerland, and pictures of family members at rest. I bring these images into my paintings because I want to keep the lived moment of intimacy present while also exploring the context in which this intimacy arises. These contexts can exist in the digital space or the physical world, which creates variation in the visual language of my paintings, as the contexts of intimacy are multiple.
