Juanita Lanzo sources anatomy and microscopic life references to invent settings that allude to life cycles, human interactions, and inner biomorphic worlds.

Juanita Lanzo is a Bronx-based, Afro-Puerto Rican visual artist, educator, and independent curator.
Her work resides in permanent collections in Puerto Rico at Museo de Arte de Caguas, Museo de Historia, Antropología y Arte, Univ. de Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras, and Instituto de Cultura, Santa Barbara Museum of Art in California.
She graduated from City College of New York in 2005 (MFA in painting and Printmaking) and the University of Puerto Rico in 1996 (BFA in drawing and Printmaking).
Juanita Lanzo, born in Puerto Rico, moved to NYC in 1999 and currently lives in East Harlem, NY.
