Joseph Kattou is a multimedia artist and Vejigante maker. He draws on his Puerto Rican heritage to create works about the island's political movements within the diaspora. He travels internationally frequently as a photographer and researcher to learn and show work in diverse environments and create new collaborators. He received his MFA in Sculpture in spring of 2023 from the State University of New York At New Paltz and works as an adjunct professor and a freelance film and television production artist.

His work has been featured in galleries such as The Samuel Dorsky Museum in New Paltz, NY, Woodstock Artist Association museum in Woodstock, NY, Sculpture Space in Utica, NY, the best of SUNY exhibition in Albany, NY, the Factory gallery in Long Island City, NY, the Kobe design University in Kobe, Japan and the Dick Mack gallery in Dingle, Ireland.
