Cindy received her BA in art history at Macaulay Honors at CUNY Hunter College, where she studied Josef Albers’ color theory and the impact of Mexican muralists like Diego Rivera throughout the US. Her art historical studies inspired her foray into a practice that spans digital illustration, comics journalism, and public art. She was one of twelve artists selected to create work for Visit Philadelphia's Love + Grit Storefronts Project, a citywide exhibition transforming empty storefronts into art installations by QBIPOC artists highlighting Black- and Brown-owned businesses. Her client list includes The New York Times, The LA Times, Washington Post, Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, Mamás Con Poder, WeAllGrow Latina, and Poderistas.

"“Joy In Leisure" is a 10' x 20' mural celebrating summertime. Philadelphia is at its most vibrant during this season, when folks across the city light up the streets with an array of hobbies, culture, and art. I wanted my mural to feel like a fun, active snapshot of Philly's leisurely joy. A Phillies fan enjoying music with her headphones represents our great city, while fellow community members read, dance, eat water ice and skate among cotton candy clouds." - Cindy Lozito
