As a diasporic Puerto Rican-Mexican American artist, I explore identity, matriarchy, and the resilience of women through bold color and surreal natural elements. Merging expressive portraiture with nature-based symbolism, I weave personal and ancestral narratives that highlight intergenerational wisdom, cultural preservation, and ecofeminism. Deeply rooted in my heritage, my work reflects the role of women as caretakers of tradition, memory, and community. Primarily working in oil and acrylic, I have begun integrating textile-inspired elements, honoring craft traditions historically tied to women’s labor and storytelling. Through these themes, I celebrate the strength of women and their connection to the natural world.
