Noelia Quintero Herencia

Noelia Quintero Herencia is an awarded filmmaker, multimedia artist, and researcher with 25 years of experience in media production and cultural research. She created Prohibido Olvidar, Puerto Rico’s most extensive documentary series on popular culture. Over the course of her career, she has earned four Emmy Awards for various projects. Her feature film Papi received the Premio Soberano for Best Dominican Feature Film and Best Feature Film in the National Competition at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Santiago (FIC Santiago). Since relocating to New York, she directed Tito Matos: ¡Ahora Sí! (2022), which won a New York Emmy. In 2023, her work was featured in the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art’s exhibition Indecencia. In 2024, Columbia University acquired The Rita Indiana and Noelia Quintero Herencia Papers, recognizing her contributions to Latinx and Caribbean cultural history.
