Puerto Ricans in Florida: 2010 – 2018

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2018, Florida had the largest concentration of Puerto Ricans in the United States (1,187,437). Puerto Ricans accounted for 5.6 percent of the total population in Florida, and 21.3 percent of the state’s Hispanic or Latino population in 2018. Therefore, one in every five Latinos in Florida was Puerto Rican. In addition to having a large Hispanic population (26.1%), the state of Florida has one of the most diverse Latino populations in the country.
