Worldwinds, presented by Belongó, is a groundbreaking performance that unites multi-Grammy-winning Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Ensemble (ALJE) with visionary choreographers and companies making their mark in the dance world. Over the years, O’Farrill has forged impactful artistic collaborations, and the Worldwinds performance residency project is yet another example of Arturo and the ALJE pushing the boundaries of style and medium. This evening’s program will feature classics from the ALJE repertoire, paired with original choreographies by LaTasha Barnes & the Continuum Collective and Soles of Duende, as well as brand-new choreographies and arrangements created exclusively for this event.
