Social_media_specialist
Assignments & Supervision: Works under the immediate supervision of the Centro Outreach and Partnerships Manager
Description and Duties: We are looking for a Social Media expert who can enhance our brand and build strong online communities through our various social media platforms. Candidate will be responsible for developing and administering social media content that is designed to engage users and create an interactive relationship between consumers and the company. The successful candidate will also be required to collect and review social media data to develop more effective campaigns.

Project_Archivist_Position
Work assignments may vary depending upon library and archival project needs. Work under the supervision of the Senior Archivist, and may oversee the work of college assistants for specific projects.

Producer_Writer

Responsibilities: The Centro Media Team is seeking a highly skilled Producer/Writer. We’re looking for responsible individuals to work with our team of creative professionals to develop high‐end videos and multimedia content and detailed research in support of our mission. Candidates should have strong writing and coordinating skills. As a Producer/Writer you will be assisting the Media Team in setting up and creating content for various types of media (web, TV, film, etc.).

Oral_History_Researchers

Assignments & Supervision: Work assignments will be made throughout the various Puerto Rican community concentrations in the United States, for example, the New York metropolitan area, New England, Florida, the Midwest, the Southeast and the West. All new hires will receive training on Centro oral history protocols and, if necessary, in the use of video equipment. Researchers work under the supervision of the Oral History Project Coordinator.

Description and Duties: As members of the Centro Oral History Team staff will be conducting interviews and background research. Oral history researcher is expected to: conduct background research, perform outreach, create interview protocols, conduct videotaped interviews, assist in thematic time coding, collect metadata information, write short descriptions of interviews, perform follow-up with oral history subjects. The work also complies with Hunter College IRB requirements regarding human subjects protection. Each researcher will be accorded training to pass IRB certification.

Outreach_Partnerships_Assistant

Assignments & Supervision: Works under the direct supervision of the Outreach and Partnerships Manager
Description and Duties:
The Center for Puerto Rican Studies (Centro de Estudios Puertorriqueños, or Centro) is looking to hire an Outreach and Partnerships Assistant to lead and engage in outreach initiatives aimed at prospective students, academic departments and community and government organizations, and be responsible for the outreach for all Centro partnerships and national events.

Outreach to the community and the profession is at the core of the Hunter College and CUNY institutes’ and centers’ missions. Centro has a strong record of such engagement with external stakeholders. We seek to build upon this foundation and strengthen our collaborations and outreach programs. In particular, we would like our outreach programs to be clearly connected to research and education. In general, we would like to promote wide community access to academic resources in the field and to strengthen the connections between scholars and practitioners and between our students and the community.
