DESCRIPTION:El libro EN MI CELDA: ESCRITOS DESDE LA CÁRCEL (Editora Educación Emergente\, 2023) presenta por primera vez al público hispanohablante una cuidada recopilación de diversos textos y materiales de archivo del anarquista\, intelectual y revolucionario afropuertorriqueño y afrodiaspórico MARTIN SOSTRE. Especialmente en lo que respecta a la filosofía\, el estudio y la lucha negra y afrodiaspórica\, así como al abolicionismo y la organización revolucionaria\, tanto dentro como fuera del aparato penal\, su vida y obra exigen un compromiso y una difusión mayor. En palabras de Rojo Robles “Los escritos recogidos [en este volumen] muestran la labor encomiable de Sostre como filósofo de la revuelta\, organizador carcelario\, abogado autodidacta\, librero y promotor de la cultura negra”. La publicación también incluye una introducción y un estudio exhaustivos y amplios del editor del libro\, el académico puertorriqueño Julio Ramos. Los textos de Sostre incluidos en el volumen han sido traducidos al español por Julio Ramos\, Juan Carlos Quiñones y Paula Contreras. La editorial independiente puertorriqueña Editora Educación Emergente y CENTRO se enorgullecen de co-convocar esta presentación virtual del libro con un panel distinguido que incluye a Ramos y Robles\, así como a Joel Cintrón Arbasetti y Luis Othoniel Rosa. Este evento se realizará en español.

She is also the cofounder of the Junte Mujeres Sindicalistas\, bringing together feminism and syndicalism.
