February 8, 2022 @ 12:00 pm 5:00 pm EST

Join us on Tuesday, February 8th at 12 PM EST for the first Library Lunch Hour of the Year! We will be joined with documentary filmmaker and President of Balestra Media, Christina DiPasquale, and Centro Library Manager, Aníbal Arocho, as they discuss the groundbreaking PBS series executive produced and hosted by Humberto Cintrón, Realidades. Realidades aired from 1972 to 1977 and was the first national Latinx public affairs television series to document Latinx life, arts, and entertainment. Ms. DiPasquale is working on the documentary Barrio Television, telling the untold story of the history and impact of Realidades and has worked extensively with the Humberto Cintrón/Realidades papers housed at Centro. After the discussion, Aníbal and Chrstina will open the floor to the audience for a Q&A.
