CENTRO has launched a new in-person series in celebration of our 50th Anniversary! Join us on Tuesday, May 2nd at 4 PM ET at the Silberman School of Social Work for La Meriendita, a story hour dedicated to children’s books. This month’s story hour book is When Julia Danced Bomba by Dr. Raquel M. Ortiz, a story about Julia, a young girl finding her rhythm and confidence as she moves to the Afro-Latin tradition of bomba music and dance. Bring your little ones by for a story on their culture and snacks!

This event is part of the CENTRO 50th Anniversary Celebration! Join us all of 2023 in celebrating 50 years of CENTRO’s work to strengthen, diversify, and reimagine the field of Puerto Rican Studies!
