Carlos Ortiz Papers, 1940s-2006

Carmen Miranda (1909-1955) was a Brazillian entertainer who was popular from the 1930s-1950s. Machito (1908-1984) was a Latin jazz musician who helped popularize Afro-Cuban jazz and create both Cubop and salsa music.
