Anita Vélez Mitchell (seated) in her role as Anita with unknown actress playing the role of Maria. Vélez Mitchell played the role under director Louis MacMillan and resident choreographer Edward Earle with the St. John Terrell's Music Circus in Lambertville, NJ,  from August 23 through September 4, 1960.  Among the upcoming actors performing there during the early sixties were Robert Goulet, Shirley MacLaine, Larry Hagman, and Bernardette Peters.
