Inside Bodega (Flor de Borinquen)

Justo A. Martí Photographic Collection, 1948-1985

This interior view of the Flor de Borinquen was also commissioned by El Comercio. Customers on the right side and the bodega staff on the left attested to the fact that everyone wanted to be in the picture. William, the clerk and driver, was wearing a white shirt and hat. Just next to him on his left side is a couple, the woman (hardly visible) and a man wearing a white shirt and hat could be the Villamil store owners who usually appeared in the interior view photographs. (Retouched photograph for the Bodega exhibit.)
