Interview with Conrado Hernandez on July 23 2015, Segment 1

CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-

Hernandez discusses his early life in Puerto Rico and his introduction to religion with Jesuit education. He also discusses his education in New York City at Hunter College, when free tuition existed. He recalls winning a prize for his writings and how he met editors at El Diario La Prensa, who asked him to apply to work at the newspaper.
