The Case of Prof. Rafael Rivera-Garcia

Richie Pérez Papers, 1918-2006

Brochure titled "The Case of Prof. Rafael Rivera-Garcia," an artist and professor who was accused of shooting a white neighbor, and was ultimately acquitted due to the racially biased claims of the neighbor. The National Congress for Puerto Rican Rights spread news of this injustice, and the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund raised money for the legal costs of the case as well as other costs for its defense fund.
