Committee Against Fort Apache protest of the crime drama film Fort Apache, The Bronx, which depicted the South Bronx as rife with prostitutes, drug dealers and violence. Bronx community groups picketed the movie and threatened lawsuits against the producers over the negative way in which the film presented the neighborhood and ethnic minorities.
