Montalvo talks about the relationship between the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families and the New York Hispanic Task Force On Child Abuse And Neglect. She asserts that the Task Force was a federally funded organization that tackled abuse in Latino children, and this inspired her to create the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families.
