Interview with Angelina Cabrera on July 26, 2016, Segment 15

CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-

Cabrera speaks about how as a child her father used to take her to Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York. Later on she became part of a group that initiated the Boricua Festival, which is celebrated annually in Prospect Park. She also explains that this group transformed an empty property in the park into a garden filled with trees named after Puerto Rican families.
