CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-

Laviera Sanchez describes her recent involvement in community work, which before was mainly performed by her brother Tato. She discusses her work at two institutions: at El Regreso, she works with women with problems of drugs addiction and at El Casabe, her work consists of giving beauty workshops to aging women. Laviera Sanchez emphasizes that through these activities she found a connection with her community in New York.
