CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-

In this segment Laviera Sanchez continues talking about her relationship with her brother Tato and about the time when they arrived to New York. She describes that since an early age Tato showed interest for writing. Sanchez Laviera then talks about her first job as a beautician while living in the Lower East Side, New York. She also mentions that she had to deal with issues of language because even though she learned English in Puerto Rico she had never practiced it before.
