CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-

Sanchez Laviera emphasizes that she did not want her children to assist to public school. She took that decision because she researched what was happening there and she understood it was not a conducive environment for them. However, she reassured them to keep clear and embrace their identity.
