Interview with Juan Sanchez on Dec 14, 2015, Segment 6, Part 2

CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-

Sanchez discusses how he deals with the commercial and political sides of the arts. He asserts that in his case, he had a great deal of exposure through non-profit art galleries, art centers and museums. However, when art dealers wanted to represent his work it did not work because they didn’t know how to market it. Sanchez concludes by stating that his experience with the commercial sector has been frustrating but at the same time the articles and the exposure from the non-profit art centers has been encouraging.
