Interview with Juan Sanchez on Dec 21, 2015, Segment 3, Part 2

CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-

Sanchez discusses issues of identity, his contact with the island [Puerto Rico] and how he expresses questions of racism and identity through his work. He explains that he experienced discrimination within and outside his community. These experiences made him explore his Puerto Rican identity and to make connections with the Nuyorican Movement and the Young Lords Party. Sanchez also talks about his involvement with social mobilizations against colonialism, racial segregation, gentrification and other public concerns.
