Interview with Rodriguez Calero on Nov 16, 2015, Segment 10, Part 2
CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-
Rodriguez Calero asserts that the Nuyorican arts movement is a branding used by certain groups to identify their art. Personally she does not embrace such labels, but she does not have a problem with people identifying her as a Nuyorican artist. She thinks that the Nuyorican movement had a bigger impact in the literacy sphere than in the visual arts.
