CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-

González talks about the future of Camden. He describes the city’s upswing from the rock bottom 1980’s, pointing to current economic, cultural, and civic development and new construction. He notes the pendulum is swinging back to inner cities from suburbia and forecasts Camden and similar cities will flourish again. He promotes Camden’s benefits: its proximity to Philadelphia and its existing transportation infrastructure. For González, the future is positive for the city he loves.
