Interview with Denis Perez on December 7, 2018

00:00:00 Perez explains that due to the fact that his father was an officer and dentist in the Army, his family moved frequently and he lived in several places, including, Texas, Georgia, Washington D.C., Alabama, and Puerto Rico. 00:07:30 Perez explains that while growing up he had the structure of living in Army housing, but also the freedom of living on the island metropolitan area. He mentions that he attended schools that differed in their teaching programs, some that followed the “open classroom concept, learn at your own pace” and the structured ones at the base. 00:12:00 Perez has been President of the Medical Staff of Parrish Hospital in Brevard County and is an active member of Doctor's Goodwill Foundation, an organization that support medical studies and overseas missions. 00:22:00 Perez mentions that Brevard County have a Puerto Rican community that is growing and developing slowly but surely.
