CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-

In this segment, Garden Acosta discusses having a holistic approach to El Puente, the organization. He elaborates on El Puentes view of "Holistic" and describes their holistic approach as looking at the person as a whole, including mind, body, spirit and community. He also briefly mentions social service programs and the federal support program addressing the at-risk situation of young people during the 60s/70s/80s. Garden Acosta also shares about his involvement with the Young Lords Party. Lastly, Garden Acosta discusses having artists, medical, educators, priests, nuns, parents and other young people as part of the creation and existence of El Puente.
