Question asked: What years were you involved? Was your involvement before, during or after college? This clip is about Garden Acosta discussing how he first heard about the Young Lords Party and why he joined. He also shares the names of others that he was involved with. He tells us that he joined when he heard that young people had petitioned a church to perform corporal works of mercy, which included feeding the hungry and clothing the naked. He mentioned being an activist in the church with the anti-war movement. He concludes the clip by letting us know that he joined the Young Lords because of his relationship with Richie Perez, and essentially joined because Richie decided to join.
