Question asked: What is the Rainbow Coalition, who was part of it and what was your involvement with them? Garden Acosta tells us that the original Rainbow Coalition was created when the leader of the Black Panthers, Fred Hampton, in Chicago was assassinated by police. He describes the coalition as an ethnic and racially inclusive social movements , including Asian Americans and the Young Patriots Party from Illinois.
