Question Asked: What tactics would the Young Lord Party use today to address the issue of gentrification in Williamsburg and NYC?
Garden Acosta tells us that the real character of the Young Lords was to use their bodies to confront oppression. He adds that he would be militant in his approach to address the issue of gentrification in Williamsburg. He adds that he would not just demonstrate, but would take over the construction site of Lincoln Hospital while also demanding 50% affordable housing.
