The first 45 seconds of this interview is a conversation between Luis Garden Acosta and the Centro team- it is a mini break; content discussed might be useful to research. This clip of the Oral History with Luis Garden Acosta discusses El Puente's involvement with the People's Climate March and the collaboration between El Puente and an art group in Puerto Rico know as Papel Machete. Garden Acosta discusses being on the Host Committee for the parade and advocating for the youth to lead the march. He also describes the collaboration between El Puente and Papel Machete. Jorge Diaz from Papel Machete conduct workshops at El Puente about using art for social change. Approximately 7 artists including Jorge visited El Puente and taught the young people how to build huge figures out of paper mache. They created Madre Tierra, which is 3 stories high. El Puente was featured on various media outlets, including the Boston Globe and the Daily Show. Madre Tierra is now housed at El Puente.
