Interview with Ronald Blackburn-Moreno on Aug 11, 2015, Segment 31, Part 1

CENTRO: 100 Puerto Ricans Oral History Project, 2013-

Ron Blackburn on Aspira of PA. It was founded in 1968. They survived on small grants and had a very difficult financial time, especially in early 90s. After Ron became E.D., Aspira Association gave them an $150,000 loan to pay bills. Combined with Maria Quinones' leadership, which came from accounting and from founding Eugenio Maria de Hostos School, they turned things around. Alfredo Calderon built the operation to what it is today.
