The poem reads as "Yo quiero que en mi sepulcro/Tambien flotes, pabellón/Como emblema de mi patria/ y afirmacion de mi honor." ("I want that in my grave / Also flowers, pavilion / As emblem of my country / and affirmation of my honor").
