CENTRO: Puerto Ricans in New York - Voices of the Migration

This recording contains a series of Puerto Rican women discussing their experiences working in the garment industry in New York City that were used to create an award winning radio program called Nosotras Trabajamos en la Costura (We are Garment Workers). The interviews were conducted as part of the Centro Oral History Task Force's project Puerto Ricans in New York - Voices of the Migration. Some women speak about their experiences in Spanish and others in English.
