Dylcia Pagan Interview Three, Tape 2, Side A

CENTRO: Centro Oral History Project (COHP) / Latino Educational Media Center (LEMC), 2003-2008

Pagan discusses her involvement with William Morales. She recounts her multiple subpoenas and having to go into hiding with her newborn son. She also talks about her eventual arrest and placement in both the state and federal prison system for her involvement with the Fuerzas Armadas de Liberación Nacional (FALN), an organization responsible for multiple bombings in the name of Puerto Rican independence in the 1970s. Pagan reflects on how she spent her 19 years in prison, and what it was like to reunite with her son after so many years apart. In 1998 Pagan received clemency from the Clinton administration on a six year parole period, and moved back to Puerto Rico where she remains today.
