Pagan speaks about her early life, growing up in the Bronx in the late 1940s, her time as a children's television performer (ages 5-12), and the death of her parents. She also discusses her time as a student at Brooklyn College, where she helped to found the Puerto Rican Student Union. She goes on to talk about how she became a television producer for a series of programs that promoted the representation of Puerto Ricans in the media.
