Puerto Rican Artists on the Tarmac

Justo A. Martí Photographic Collection, 1948-1985

Puerto Rican artists and others are greeted at the tarmac as they arrive in New York for upcoming show "Estrella de Borinquen". At top right of staircase is singer Daniel Santos. At left row on staircase, fifth from the top, is bandleader and composer Claudio Ferrer. In the front row, fifth from the far left, is singer Felipe "La Voz" Rodriguez. In back row, behind the man and woman holding the Puerto Rican flag, is bandleader and timbalero Juan Ramon Delgado "Moncho Lena". In front row, second from the far right, is promoter and manager Victor Alonso.
