The history of our institutions still remains, in many ways, unknown. On March 14, 2011 Juan came to Centro and graciously spoke about his involvement during the early years of Centro, as it changed from an idea to reality. In the video included below, he talks about his relationship with Frank Bonilla during their time as faculty members at Stanford University, and his long affiliation with CUNY, including his work with Centro in its formative years as a member of the Culture Task Force. He also discusses his involvement with the student movement in California, and places Centro’s founding firmly in that tradition.
