Preserving Our Heritage!
Collecting, preserving and providing access to resources documenting the history and culture of Puerto Ricans in our renowned Library & Archives. Our special collections— books, newspapers, periodicals audio and video tapes, manuscripts, photographs, prints, and recorded music – are the only one solely devoted to Puerto Rican studies. Our aims include:

• Becoming the national archives for the PR diaspora by working with groups in other regions to enhance and expand our collections.
• Digitizing core graphic arts and photos to make our collections more accessible.
• Sponsoring exhibits on Puerto Rican history and culture.
• Expanding our special collections, including videos oral histories and other alternative formats the enliven history.
